Our Story

I was born and raised in Texas, but at 15 years old, life led me to Louisiana - a move that would change everything.

Starting high school in a new place wasn't easy, but it's where I met my high school sweetheart, Hunter. before we ever dated, we were best friends for entire year. When he graduated a year before me and we still stuck it out through that season apart, I just knew we were meant for each other. we officially began dating in March of 2016, and we haven't looked back since.

After I graduated in 2019, we moved into the home he grew up in - in the small town of Hessmer, Louisiana. we built our first little life together there. after six years of being together, my best friend proposed, and a year later in 2023, we said "I do."

Hunter once dreamed of playing college ball, but after graduation he chose a different path and began working in power lines. after three years, he made the bold decision to step away and take over a business that has been open for over 30 years in Cottonport, Louisiana. Watching him pursue what felt right for our future reminded me that sometimes gods plans took different than our own - but always better.

While he was building his career, I was working in a hospital an exploring creative outlets on the side - making car freshies, signing shirts, and doing permanent jewelry. I've always loved taking something simple and turning it into something beautiful. hunter and I are the same in that way - we can take something affordable and make it look elevated. I've always been the girl who surprises people when they find out how inexpensive and outfit was, simply because of how it was styled.

The idea of starting a boutique didn't happen over night. at first, hunter wasn't fully convinced. but once we started dreaming together, planning, and seeing the bigger picture, he fell in love with it too. he has been my biggest encourager, standing beside me through every design and every leap of faith.

Today, it's just us, our four fur babies, and a whole lot of dreams. were building our forever home, trusting gods timing for our future family, and pouring our hearts into Him & I Co. Boutique. Our prayer is that this business becomes something we can one day pass down - built on faith, family, and hard work.

Him & I Co. is more than clothing to us. It's our story, our partnership, and a reminder that when you build something together, it means more.
